Outreach Christian Fellowship

Introduction

Outreach Christian Fellowship (OCF) is the direct result of seeing missionaries that needed help from and outside organization. We became and are a "helping hand to the missionary."

O.C.F.   is a 501(C)(3) tax-exempt organization approved by the Internal Revenue Service chartered by the State of Texas.

James Walker, a pastor for forty years is the full-time director of Outreach. He travels to the foreign field to encourage our missionaries. While there, he helps in any way he can with the mission work on the field and teaching-training national pastors and leaders. Brother James does not limit himself or his ministry to O.C.F. missionaries only. However, he does visit each O.C.F. missionary on the field at least once every two years. He plans to continue the travels.

In most foreign countries, it is necessary for a missionary to have a legal covering from a State-side organization. They cannot establish churches or schools without a legal structure. Responding to this requirement is another reason why Outreach was formed.

In the eight years of existence, Outreach has given to or helped support missionaries in:

Nicaragua

Costa Rica

Honduras

Belize

Mexico

Jamaica

Haiti

Peru

Brazil

Taiwan

India

The U.S.

Africa

The Middle East

It is our heart to do what we can do to make it possible for the missionary to fulfill his/her calling to "...go into all the world..."          Other responsibilities we assist the missionary with are:

  • receive contributions from supporters
  • distribute monthly checks to each missionary
  • mail quarterly and yearly statements (receipts) to contributors
  • provide IRS 1099 forms, etc.
  • format and mail monthly newsletters
  • talk to them by phone or use e-mail when they need help or encouragement
  • travel to the foreign field to be of whatever help we can

We are currently overseeing several missionaries with more candidates being considered.
